![]() see pictures That's right. I'm a juggler. It's a passion really. I enjoy the creativity and aesthetics, the mathematics, and the physical dexterity that compound to make juggling the holistic activity that it is. Okay, the most important questions, right off the bat: What do you juggle? Like the vast majority of juggling enthusiasts, I work chiefly with balls and clubs. Additionally, I make use of rings, badminton racquets, knives, and flaming torches. When I perform, I juggle everything from cupcakes to large teddy bears. How many do you juggle? My records are as follows:
What else can you do? I can pass up to nine clubs or balls with a partner and I have the following array of skills in my repertoire: chin balancing, footbag, one and two diabolo, bounce and contact juggling, devil sticks, cigar boxes, unicycle, rolling globe, rola bola, fixed-point mime, whip cracking and target whip. I can juggle two ping-pong balls with my mouth, too. Do you perform? Yes, I enjoy almost every venue from the stage to the street. During two summers while in college, I performed hundreds of shows as part of the Hershey Park Green Team. Though I no longer juggle as a full-time job, I make frequent appearances at local festivals and events. ![]() How did you learn? How long have you been juggling? My first set of juggling balls was given to me by the Richards family when I was in Ithaca, NY (1998). At one point or another, I guess I learned the three-ball cascade. At another point (which I can't remember either), I tried juggling four. It wasn't until November of 2001 when I started pursuing more ambitious juggling achievements. Since then, I've been invariably addicted. Many thanks to Shane Keller and Sam Alper for mentoring me in various ways on my juggling journey. |
